The National Breast Imaging Academy is a comprehensive elearning programme that complements face-to-face clinical learning for radiographers, radiologists and breast clinicians undertaking all breast imaging training programmes.

Available to healthcare professionals around the world, the programme provides interactive learning sessions on a wide range of breast imaging topics alongside relevant aspects of pathology, surgery, nursing, oncology and risk prevention and highlights the role of the breast imager within the breast multidisciplinary team.

Course Content

Course Content
The National Breast Imaging Academy elearning programme is made up of over 150 elearning sessions – each taking between 30 & 60 minutes to complete. The sessions cover all aspects of breast imaging and relevant aspects of surgery, oncology, pathology, nursing, and risk and prevention for both trainees and qualified staff. After an introductory module, topics such as techniques in mammography, ultrasound and MRI as well as evaluation and then communication are covered. Further modules cover topics including breast intervention, breast screening, breast disease, breast cancer management and working in a multidisciplinary team.
